Congress Approves Patent Pilot Program

The U.S. House of Representatives sent a bill to President Barack Obama that would allow six judicial districts to participate in a 10-year pilot program allowing them to funnel patent infringement lawsuits to a small number of judges.

Congress sent a bill to President Barack Obama on Friday that would create a 10-year pilot program that would funnel patent infringement lawsuits to a small number of judges.


Obama is expected to sign the bill that received little opposition in the Senate or the House.
