Ares Management, L.P. announced Tuesday that one of its funds has agreed to sell the Pio Pico Energy Center to institutional investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
The Pio Pico Energy Center is a 322-megawatt, gas-fired power facility located in Otay Mesa.
The buyer was supported by its existing independent power platform, Southwest Generation. Terms of the transaction were not revealed.
