Patient's Advocate Settles Hospital Suit
The three-year legal battle between Jennifer Merin and Los Angeles' Barlow Respiratory Hospital has been settled, attorneys for both parties confirmed last month.The case, Merin v. Barlow BC207149 (L.A. Super. Ct., March 16, 1999), arose from Barlow's citizen's arrest of Merin while she was trying to oversee her mother's care in a Barlow hospital room.
