Hallinan Describes Grand Jury's Goal

SAN FRANCISCO - Contrary to appearances that a grand jury convening today may examine a high-level police cover-up, District Attorney Terence Hallinan said Monday that jurors will focus on possible assault charges against the son of the assistant police chief and two other off-duty officers who allegedly beat up two men without provocation.
