Report: Private warnings to state judges down by half

California judges were disciplined less frequently during the years from 2000 to 2009 than in the previous decade, according to a new report by the Commission on Judicial Performance.

California judges were disciplined less frequently during the years from 2000 to 2009 than in the previous decade, according to a new report by the Commission on Judicial Performance. Elected judges were sanctioned more frequently than appointed judges, and more than half those sanctioned were repeat offenders, the commission found.
