Rule 8.104(a) of the California Rules of Court governs the time within which a notice of appeal must be filed. Most attorneys are familiar with the fact that one typically has 60 days to appeal from an adverse, appealable order or judgment. But figuring out when the 60-day time period begins to run takes patience, vigilance, acumen and accurate calculation on the part of counsel for the appellant.
