2nd District Opinion Faults Judge for 'Variety of Reasons'

Nobody's perfect, but sometimes judges' flaws go too far. Conceding that "an error-free trial exists more in imagination than in reality," a 2nd District Court of Appeal panel told a San Luis Obispo County trial judge Tuesday that, even so, he must rethink his refusal to send a drug defendant to rehab.
