Ruling Reversed for Haitian Musician

Haitian musician Marc Antoine Joseph, 29, will get another chance to stay in the U.S., the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Wednesday in reversing an immigration judge and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Haitian musician Marc Antoine Joseph, 29, who wrote songs and formed a band to support then-President Jean-Bertrand Aristide but fled Haiti in 2004 following attacks and death threats from Aristide's opponents, will get another chance to stay in the U.S., the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Wednesday in reversing an immigration judge and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
