Attorney Helps Young Woman Recover Life Insurance
By Joan Osterwalder Attorney Eric Castelblanco's resourcefulness helped change a young woman's life. Six years ago, the Los Angeles sole practitioner met a 17-year-old abandoned girl. Ana Escobar, whose stepfather had disappeared, told the lawyer that she knew her murdered mother had left behind a life insurance policy. With Castelblanco's help, Escobar found the insurance company and won a six-figure settlement after a legal squabble over the $70,000 policy, the attorney says.
