UCLA Law Professor Was Man of Substance

LOS ANGELES - James Dupre Sumner Jr., professor emeritus at UCLA School of Law, died April 1 at the age of 84. Known as "Sunny Jim," Sumner served as associate professor from 1953 to 1955 and as professor from 1955 until his retirement in 1989.
