Deal Lets Joyce Scholar Publish

Stanford intellectual property expert Lawrence Lessig brokered a settlement between James Joyce’s heirs and a university colleague writing a book about the Irish scribe’s daughter. Lessig said the case is the first of many expected to be filed over the right to use copyrighted materials under the “fair use” doctrine.
