Justices Divide on Testimony Excluded From Murder Trial

WASHINGTON - A Northern California murder case appeared to divide the U.S. Supreme Court along liberal and conservative lines Tuesday as the justices heard arguments to decide whether a Solano County prisoner was denied a fair trial when the judge excluded testimony that another man committed the crime.
