The Obama administration on Wednesday nominated former Sacramento police chief Albert Náera to be the new U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of California. If confirmed by the U.S. Senate, he will replace acting Marshal Leonard Boyer. After retiring as police chief in 2008, Nájera joined Delegata, a management and technology consulting firm.
