Slim Venture Funds Sideline Lawyers

The amount of cash raised by venture capital funds hit the lowest level in almost seven years in the second quarter -- an ill omen for companies trying to raise capital or the attorneys who advise them.

The amount of cash raised by venture capital funds, a leading indicator for future investment in high-tech and biotechnology companies, hit the lowest level in almost seven years in the second quarter of 2010.
