Mint Tries to Nix Review of Firm Verdict

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips wants the state Supreme Court to reverse an appellate ruling that it can be sued over a lawsuit it filed against The Franklin Mint Co.

Lawyers for the Franklin Mint Co. asked the California Supreme Court to deny Manatt, Phelps & Phillips' request for review of a split 2nd District Court of Appeal decision in May that reinstates a malicious prosecution claim against the firm.
