In a sweeping victory for YouTube parent Google Inc., a New York federal judge dismissed Viacom Inc.'s $1 billion copyright infringement lawsuit.

PALO ALTO In a sweeping victory for YouTube and its corporate parent Google Inc., a New York federal judge dismissed Viacom Inc.'s $1 billion copyright infringement lawsuit after concluding that the video sharing site complied with federal law.
