Wal-Mart Stores Inc. could be on the hook for labor law violations against warehouse workers it didn't directly hire, a federal judge ruled this week.
The decision increases the chances that Wal-Mart will be held accountable for unpaid wages and overtime to the Riverside County warehouse workers who load and unload the retailer's goods, plaintiffs' attorneys said.
