Forum Column - By Jeffrey A. Lowe - Virtually every day there is a story in the media regarding the war on terrorism and the government's role in ferreting out terrorist activity in this country. Unfortunately, in the government's zeal to combat terrorism, civil liberties are under attack. The principal reason for this is a hastily drafted and dangerous federal statute passed in 2001 by Congress that threatens to destroy the right of privacy enjoyed by all Americans.
