Class Action Challenges INS Plan

LOS ANGELES - Immigrant advocacy groups are filing a class action in Los Angeles federal court, trying to halt detentions and deportations stemming from a homeland security program requiring boys and men, mainly from Middle Eastern, Muslim countries, to register with the Immigration and Naturalization Service, lawyers announced Tuesday.
