Panel Clears Race-DNA Statistics in Murder Case

SAN FRANCISCO - A jury is told that DNA testing that matched evidence to a black rape-murder suspect had a 1 in 96 billion chance of picking the wrong guy from the white population, a 1 in 180 billion chance in the Hispanic population and a 1 in 340 billion chance in the black population.
