The recent protests in Cairo prompted me to revisit a collection of images I captured as a photojournalist in Egypt in the mid-1980s. One of my favorites is a photograph of Tahrir Square in 1985, with Hosni Mubarak's commanding image on a large poster in the early days of his 30-year reign.
