All Orange County civil cases must be e-filed next year

The Orange County Superior Court will require all documents in new civil cases next year to be filed electronically. The requirement is a test project to spread e-filing statewide.

Stacks of paper court files may go the way of library card catalogues in California after a test project starts in one county.


Beginning next year, Orange County Superior Court will be the first trial court in the state to require all documents in new civil cases to be filed electronically rather than on paper. The rest of the state could follow suit.
