Basic Principles

It did not take long for the 2nd District Court of Appeal to apply the directives set out by our Supreme Court in Armendariz v. Foundation Health Psychcare Services Inc ., 24 Cal.4th 83 (2000). In Armendariz , the California Supreme Court held that mandatory employment arbitration agreements are enforceable if the process provided certain minimum safeguards for employees.
