County Dedicates Court to Congressman

RIVERSIDE - George E. Brown Jr. marched alongside Martin Luther King Jr. more than 40 years ago to advocate civil rights. The 18-term congressman, who died in 1999 at age 79, fought for the passage of laws to stop environmental erosion. And he once interrupted his busy schedule to testify on behalf of a veteran hundreds of miles away who needed help getting benefits.
