Political Refugee

Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw partner Philip Recht is a refugee of the Bill Clinton administration - and a proud one at that. While scandals riddled Clinton's term in office, the administration also had numerous accomplishments, Recht points out. The accomplishments include those at the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, where Recht served as chief counsel and later as deputy administrator from 1994 to 1999.
