Enron Trader Pleads Guilty to Conspiracy

SAN FRANCISCO - As he pleaded guilty Thursday to manipulating California's wholesale electricity market at the height of last year's state energy crisis, Enron's former chief energy trader in Portland, Timothy N. Belden, said, "I was just trying to maximize the profit for Enron."
