Let Freedom Fly
Much of the U.S. Act to Provide Appropriate Tools to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism, or PATRIOT Act, and its enhanced police powers signed into law by President Bush on Oct. 26 is the wrong approach to reducing terrorism. This law will erode civil liberties and invade the privacy of innocent Americans. Bravo to the lone senator who voted against this law, Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis.
