DA Uses Novel Theories in Meth Blast Cases

RIVERSIDE - The waste from an illegal drug lab is what a prosecutor calls "really the bottom of the food chain" for methamphetamine users. In July 2000, Patrick Black got hold of lab trash including rags, filters and a jug, took it to his Rubidoux home and recruited Walter "Butch" Walker to extract meth from it. Walker's efforts yielded one gram of the drug.
