Continuing their trend, attorneys and law firms have given more money to the 2000 presidential and congressional races than any other professional group has. The prospect of George W. Bush in the White House and Republicans remaining in control of Congress was more than enough to induce lawyers and law firms to open their wallets to Democratic coffers.
