Officer Says He Relied on Partner's Statements

A Los Angeles police officer on trial in the Rampart scandal testified Thursday that he never saw a gun in the hand of a gangster accused of running from officers during a raid four years ago, but relied on his partner's word when he wrote in a police report that the gangster had a gun.
