Campbell-Ewald's implications for class actions

Earlier this month, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral argument in a case, Campbell-Ewald Company v. Gómez, which could affect the way class actions are litigated. The defendant argues that its offer to satisfy the plaintiff's claims mooted the entire action. At oral argument, however, Justice Sonia Sotomayor pointed out a major flaw in this logic.
