9th Circuit antitrust ruling a big win for U.S. government, civil plaintiffs

An appellate panel rejected claims Thursday by foreign manufacturers of liquid crystal display panels that they could not be guilty of criminal conspiracy under the Sherman Act.

International skirmishing over the reach of U.S. price-fixing laws landed at the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Thursday, where a panel rejected claims by foreign manufacturers of liquid crystal display panels that they could not be guilty of criminal conspiracy under the Sherman Act.
