A U.S. Supreme Court ruling that a San Francisco federal judge went too far when he blocked all sales and planting of genetically-modified alfalfa is looming over a similar case in which another San Francisco judge will soon hear arguments on whether to place a similar injunction on genetically modified sugar beets.
