Real Estate Slump a Homewrecker for Divorcees

Now that the real estate frenzy has died down — with houses languishing on the market and prices dropping in some neighborhoods — it’s putting the squeeze on divorcing couples and their lawyers. Attorneys practicing in the hardest-hit areas say the real estate crunch is making them rethink their approach to every case that involves homeownership. No longer do family lawyers routinely advise their clients to try to keep the house at all costs.
