California recently enacted Assembly Bill 2249, the California Heritage Protection Action (CHPA), amending Section 5080 of the California Public Resources Code (CPRC) to prohibit state park concessionaires from obtaining trademark rights in the names they use for venues in state parks or names that are associated with a state park's "historical, cultural, or recreational resources."
