Obama Seeks Increase in DOJ Budget

The 5.4 percent proposed increase for fiscal 2011 includes enough money to add more than 200 new lawyers mainly devoted to prosecuting financial fraud and other white-collar crimes.

WASHINGTON - The Justice Department announced Monday a 5.4 percent increase in its budget proposal for fiscal 2011, including enough money to add more than 200 new lawyers, with a bulk of those hires devoted to prosecuting financial fraud and other white-collar crime.
