Prosecutors and Defense Attorneys Carry Bias Into Judicial Office

Jennifer Keller of Keller Rackauckas says former prosecutors bring just as much bias into judicial office as ex-public defenders.

Although generally I enjoyed the article on Judge Ronald H. Rose (Dec. 30), I was taken aback by: "Even after 23 years in the Los Angeles Public Defender's office, lawyers said Superior Court Judge Ronald Rose is as impartial as they come." "For an ex-public defender, Rose is uncommonly fair-minded and even-handed on the bench."
