Studios Win Piracy Suit

A federal judge has granted summary judgment to several movie studios in their lawsuit against the operator of file-sharing Web sites that allegedly allow users to download pirated movies and television shows.

LOS ANGELES - A federal judge has granted summary judgment to several movie studios in their lawsuit against the operator of file-sharing Web sites that allegedly allow users to download pirated movies and television shows.

U.S. District Court Judge Stephen Wilson ruled against Gary Fung, the owner of Canada-based Isohunt Web Technologies, in a decision filed last week.
