U.S. Wades Into Antitrust Fight Against Intel With its Own Lawsuit

A complaint that accuses the chipmaker of using deception and coercion against smaller rivals was filed a month after Intel paid $1.25 billion to settle a private antitrust suit and as it appeals a billion-dollar fine imposed by the EU.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission sued Intel Corp. on Wednesday for stifling competition by using deception and coercion against smaller rivals such as Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and Nvidia Corp.
