Baker & McKenzie: PARTNERS CUT LOOSE AT MEETING IN SAN FRANCISCO

The groans were heard all the way to the Windy City. Christine Lagarde, the Paris-based executive committee chair of Chicago's Baker & McKenzie, fretted that she couldn't call San Francisco's Mayor Willie Brown by his political title - because she didn't want to use the name of the firm's hometown rival "Mayer Brown" [Mayer Brown & Platt].
