PUC judge fines Uber $7.3 million, threatens shutdown
The subsidiary that operates Uber's ride-hailing service in California violated PUC rules because it failed to submit data about handicapped-access, accidents and geographic availability. It has 30 days to appeal or lose its license.

An administrative law judge for the state Public Utilities Commission on Wednesday
ordered Uber Technologies Inc.'s ride-hailing service suspended in 30 days unless
the company pays a $7.3 million fine and files mandatory reports on handicap access,
driver accidents and availability.
