Frog Losing Ground in Land Tug-of-War

SAN FRANCISCO - From the point of view of some of California's rarest creatures, home might appear to be getting a lot smaller lately. Last week, federal wildlife regulators, under pressure from home developers, proposed slashing the amount of land designated as critical to one of the animals, the red-legged frog, by more than 80 percent.
