Budget Cuts Have District Attorneys On Edge

After five budget-related ballot measures went down in flames on Tuesday, district attorney's offices throughout the state said they were bracing for disaster.

Many said they were scrambling to figure out how the governor plans to cut the state's budget to make ends meet and whether the ax would hit property tax revenue that makes up as much as 40 percent of some district attorney's budget...
