Bush Officials Can't Be Sued by Post-Sept. 11 Detainees, Court Says

Senior Bush administration officials are off the hook for sweeping actions taken to round up suspected terrorists following the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday that they have qualified immunity in a suit brought by a Pakistani Muslim.

WASHINGTON - Senior Bush administration officials are off the hook for sweeping actions taken to round up suspected terrorists following the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday they have qualified immunity in a suit brought by a Pakistani Muslim, who was detained.
