State Justices Look at ADA Damages Rules

Small businesses, who are urging the California Supreme Court to reduce the amount of damages available for violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act, didn't seem to gain much traction with the justices at Wednesday's oral argument.

SAN FRANCISCO - California Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronald M. George cut off attorney Lisa Wegner Wednesday as soon as she brought up an example of a seemingly frivolous Americans With Disabilities Act lawsuit.
