Closing Argument Heard in 1st Northern District Capital Trial in 60 Years

Even if Dennis Cyrus Jr. murdered three people, he wasn't part of an organized criminal enterprise as prosecutors claimed so he shouldn't be found guilty of federal murder charges and face the death penalty, his lawyer argued in the first capital trial in the Northern District in more than 60 years.

SAN FRANCISCO - Even if Dennis Cyrus Jr. murdered three people, he wasn't part of an organized criminal enterprise as prosecutors claimed so he shouldn't be found guilty of federal murder charges and face the death penalty.

That was the closing argument made Wednesday by Cyrus' attorney John T. Philipsborn in the first capital trial in the Northern District in more than 60 years.
