OC hearing highlights apparent disconnect between sheriff's deputies and superiors

The attorney for confessed mass murderer Scott Dekraai has presented jail records to show the deputies worked with informants, while higher-ranking officials have long denied any knowledge of an informant program inside the Orange County jail.

SANTA ANA — An Orange County sheriff's deputy granted immunity for his testimony in an evidence hearing in the capital case against Seal Beach mass murderer Scott Dekraai contradicted previous testimony from his superiors and said Thursday he believes supervisors knew of a computer log of informant records that was publicly revealed last year.
