Nudist resort sued over no-children policy

A Palm Springs nudist resort's no-children policy has triggered an unusual court fight in which a group of anonymous dissenters contends the rule amounts to discrimination in violation of California's Unruh Civil Rights Act.

When Elizabeth and John Young bought the nudist Desert Sun Resort in Palm Springs in 2008, they - like many such resorts nationwide - allowed families with children.


But last year, the couple changed their rules to bar anyone under 18 from the six-acre, 91-unit hotel over concerns kids' presence could trigger problems with pedophilia.
