Implied-contract case trial starts

Aaron and Matthew Benay claim "The Last Samurai" breached an implied contract they made when they pitched a screenplay of the same name to the film's producers. Today that case proceeds before a jury.

LOS ANGELES - Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.'s "The Last Samurai," which starred Tom Cruise and has grossed nearly half a billion dollars since its 2003 release, has been the subject of a contentious dispute ever since.
