Suit to test schools' liability for football player's injuries

A former Vista Murrieta high school football player is suing the school district over a concussion he suffered during PE class, testing court precedent governing school liability for sports injuries.

Three years ago, a 16-year-old junior varsity football player at Vista Murrieta High School in Riverside County suffered a debilitating concussion, not during a game or team practice, but in the middle of an off-season physical education class he was placed in along with 60 of his teammates.
